It is becoming more and more common for people to start their families later on in life. People are either focused more on their careers or maybe not financially ready to start right away. People are also enjoying traveling more at a younger age or are content with having pets. Many peoples' priorities are shifting and we can see this when we get more clients in their 30s or 40s starting to have babies. So, lets take a look at the evidence on what this can mean for our clients because oftentimes people get labeled as "geriatric" (rude!) and high risk, which can mean a whole slew of unwanted and unnecessary medical interventions.

I encourage everyone to try to look at one of the additional resources below to further our discussion for August's meetup. However, even if someone does not finish the article or get through the additional resources, you are still more than welcome to come. This is a fantastic way to connect with fellow Tucson birthworkers and learn from each other.
