March Birth Connection

Note: Since I am newly postpartum and RSV season is still in full swing, we will continue with a virtual meetup for March.

Oftentimes pregnant individuals focus so much time on preparing for their labor and birth that they neglect to prepare for their postpartum period adequately or entirely. Don't get me wrong, preparing for labor and birth is very important, especially since the medical system tends to look at pregnant people as just another cog in the system, rather than as unique individuals with their own autonomy to decide what is best for their unique needs and medical histories. Understanding what normal physiologic birth is and what potential complications could arise as well as what your options are is extremely valuable in maintaining your autonomy and making informed decisions. However, preparing for the postpartum journey is just as important! So, come join us for the next Birth Connection meetup so we can learn together and see how we can support our clients!
